In this unit, students will explore the emergency medical services system, including EMT-B, EMT-P, First Aid, CPR, C-spine and vital signs.

  • In this lesson the student will be able to identify what the Emergency Medical System entails.

  • In this lesson students will learn the importance of spinal precautions, students will become proficient in identifying proper equipment for spinal precautions, students will become proficient in log rolling a patient,  and students will become proficient in proper spine boarding procedures.

  • In this short, basic, lesson students learn what the HOPS evaluation method is and gain some practice using it.  It is designed to be a generalized lesson that is taught before you go over the specific HOPS for each body area.
