Please Note: Students will be using as reference textbook " Personal Development for Life and Work," 9 edition by Wallace and Masters, ISBN: 97-0-538-44148-3. Publisher: Sout-Western Cengage Learning. Chapter 14 - "Valueing Diversity" will be used used for this lesson.

In this lesson, students will learn how to effectively interact with others in the workplace to accomplish vital tasks and reach company goals.

In this lesson students will learn the behaviors of a good listener. Three forms of communication will be reviewed: verbal, vocal and nonverbal.

Upon completion of the lesson students will be able to schedule several types of appointments utilizing several scheduling formats as well as identifying factors to be considered when setting up the appointment matrix.
Students will be able to differentiate between the information needed for an new and established patient as well as medical conditions that require more time allotment.
Students will also be able to describe the method for changing and cancelling appointments.
