  • Students will understand what agency oversee work safety regulations and research resources that will assist them in understanding government assurances.

  • This lesson is designed to introduce the student to the material safety data sheet (MSDS), its purpose, the types of information included in its nine sections, and the importance of employee training for a successful hazard communication program.

  • This lesson is designed to introduce the student to the proper labeling of chemical containers for all entry-level assistants as a part of chemical and waste management in the clinical office setting.

  • This lesson is designed to introduce the student to the components of a hazard communication program, explain the purpose of the OSHA Hazard communication Standard (Occupational Health and Safety Administration), and to explain the record-keeping requirement of the Hazard Communication Standard. 

    This lesson plan should be the FIRST lesson given after the "How Safe is the Office I Work In?" lesson!
