Activity Overview / Details
Pass out small brown paper bag to each student with description of the assignment inside. Teacher has brown bag an says, "Today I have a bag with 3 items inside. One is from my past, one represents my present and one is for my future." Pull out item from past (HS yearbook) and provide a brief one minute description of "What I was like in HS etc." Pull out the second item for the present (picture of my kids) and provide a brief description. Pull out the third item for future (bandana from century bike ride) brief desription. "Are there any questions?" Share with students that on friday they will participate in this activity. This activity will allow students to get to know one another and to start to become comfortable speaking in front of the class.
