Part of Lesson Plan: General Shop Safety

Activity Overview / Details

After a short lecture on general industrial safety, students will pick a topic - tools, materials, worksite, individual or project. Students will then list all of the hazards, defects, safety risks or other elements that could cause an injury or accident. The instructor will write these on the board and keep a tally between classes to see which class can identify the greatest number of legitimate hazards. Jobsite attacks by Klingons don't really count, at least for this lesson.
