Setting up the Lab
Part of Lesson Plan: Micropipette Use
Activity Overview / Details
Student groups are asked to share out their answers. Some groups will know exactly what the micropipette is used for, whereas other groups will say it is used to stab or poke at things. Students are then asked how they think they can accurately measure very small (minute) amounts of liquids (5 ul) microliters. After a few answers, show students the micropipette and explain that the micropipette is a tool that is used to measure and move small amounts of liquids.
