Activity Overview / Details

(10 minutes) The teacher should post up or spread out as many different types of maps as they can collect. Examples can include land form maps, road maps, mall directories, wall maps etc. Use the Me, You, Us Moment to have students compare and contrast characteristics found on maps. Students make a personal list of the characteristics they locate, followed by a pair share. To wrap up the activity, a few students can share with the rest of the class.
