Activity Overview / Details

Show a copy of the attached sheet metal project plan on the LCD projector.

Explain to the students that the broken or dotted lines are the lines that they will be bending today.

Have them write on their plan which bends are safety bends and to what degree each of the bends should be made. (see attached project plan for specific degrees)

Next the teacher will cut out of paper an example of the dust pan.

After the outline of the plan has been cut out the teacher will demonstrate the bends and tape the project together.
