Activity Overview / Details

Once students have found their seats, I instruct the students to grab their notebooks and follow me out into the shop. Once out in the shop, I have a completed Sprinkler Manifold running outside the door. I inform them that this is what they are shooting for today.,  a completed, functioning project. I then lead a discussion having students share what specific skills, tasks, and character traits they think it's going to take to accomplish the goal. I  synthesize the thoughts and ideas into some concrete goals for the day. I  direct them to the demo table.
