Part of Lesson Plan: Layout of Basic Multi-View Drawings by Fred Avila
Activity Overview / Details
Students come into the classroom. While they are coming into the classroom and getting their handouts and scales the video will be playing on the screen. The video "Plant Engineering - Fast Shop Drawings" will show the students the capability of using CAD to create multi-view drawings from a solid model. I then explain to the students the reasoning for multi-view drawings and the need for them in developing products. Once we get to this point I actually do a CAD demonstration on how to actually create the particular drawing the students will work on. This allows the students to use prior knowlegde in dimensioning, basic CAD drafting, text placement and general layout parameters
