Continuity Test

Part of Lesson Plan: Lesson 7: Ohm's Law and the Power Triangle

Activity Overview / Details

The students identify the type of wire they have and share it with their group.  In groups students test the continuity of their wires.  They record this information in their notebooks/ journals.  They all write down the type of wire next to their test findings. (some of the wires in the class have been smashed in the center with a press and re-heat shrinked and should read bad on a continuity test.)

*Students should have a basic prior understanding of how to use a multimeter for this activity but this is not necessary.  A tutorial of multimeter use is provided below.
