Activity Overview / Details

If you can't build it, you can draw it.....and if you can draw it, you can make it a reality! Ask who has relatives involved in building homes? Students will share some experiences of their relatives, like "I help my uncle" while others have no idea about construction and building. We take this time to talk about being an architect, interior decorator, or engineer, not just the construction end of building a home. This encourages the students to think about how they can be involved in the industry other than just pounding nails. This leads us into our lesson, which is about scale and floor plans.
