Group debate

Part of Lesson Plan: Invitro-meat: The future of food?

Form three student groups who will be participating in a debate in In Vitro Meat: pro, con, undecided . One group will represent students who are for (pro) In Vitro meat sit together; another group who opposite (con) side of In Vitro meat.  The third  group will serve as the undecided group.  Have all three groups come up with a list of reasons why they are in their group.  After 5 minutes of conversations and forming their positions, open it the topic up for debate.  Tell students the goal is to get as many people in the class into their group.  Try to maintain equity of voice by alternating equally between groups.  If necessary, use a timer.
