Scavenger Hunt

Activity Overview / Details
Over the next week, students will look for National Fire Protectio Association (NFPA) diamonds in a scavenger hunt. Que students too look at trucks and trailers as they travel down the roads, rail cars, look in stores, school site or other community settings. Minimally, students will be asked to record 5 NFPA findings. They will be asked to record the following:
1) Where was there a "diamond sighting"?
2) What color was the diamond?
3) What was the name of the chemical? Did it have a number that accompanied it?
4) Did they find that once they were aware of the diamond rating, that they saw more in their school community settings?
