Developing a Hazard Communication Program

Activity Overview / Details
The instructor will divide the class into five groups. Assign each group one of the parts of the "Hazard Communication Program:"
- Written program
- Inventory of hazardous chemicals
- MSDS for every chemical (material safety data sheets)
- Proper labeling of containers
- Employee training
Instructor will ask each group to identiy the components of its assigned part and to outline a plan for implementing the program in a dental office (or clinical lab of the classroom).
Instructor will have groups present their plans. Instructor will evaluate as a class and incorporate appropriate elements from each part into a comprehensive class plan.
