Activity Overview / Details
When the students walk in there is an example
of a patient progress sheet on the document viewer
(overhead). The progress sheet is handwritten and includes
medical abbreviations. Students will first react to the
Illegibility of
the record.
Encourage them to try and determine the
patient's problems by reading the record, at this point many may
react to the medical abbreviations.
Allow the student
to share their ideas about the patients problem with each
other.
