Activity Overview / Details
I go over with the students how to fill out a "Job Application." Project it up on the white board screen and actually fill it out with the students. Explain to them the value of having it done neatly and accurately. Go through each item on the job application and put emphasis on items of extreme importance. Assist the students in understanding the value of "Soft Skills" in the work place (attendance, tardiness, all the things they sometimes take for granted) in the classroom. Help them develop accurate and concise information for the application through guided practice. A copy of the Job Application will be placed in th student's portfolio.
