Give each group a scenario and ask them to decide whether this is:
- part of TPO
- if the pt must sign a release
- share scenarios with the class in the form of a skit.
examples of scenarios:
- A man comes in to get his records to take to the lawyer to get custody of his children
- a woman calls to get the man's records for her lawyer
- a mother calls to get drug results on her adult son
- a man calls to say he has moved and wants to have his records sent to his new doctor (this could be signed by FAX)
