Back injuries can occur from repeated activities over time or from one event.
Signs and symptoms of a back injury:
- pain when trying to assume a normal position
- decreased mobility and range of motion
- pain when standing or rising from a seated position
Ask students: What factors can you think of that can lead to back disorders and injury? List on board as students answer.
