When the students come into the class, a project Entry Document should be displayed on the screen by the LCD projector.  Several copies should also be scattered throughout the classroom.

• Go through entry document ( See below) to establish reason for project.  This can be done as a whole-class activity with one person reading, or teacher can instruct the kids to do it alone or in small groups. 

(The Entry Document referenced in this lesson was developed to explain to the students what they are going to be doing for their Final Assessment for Biotechnology.  Feel free to modify it to apply to your school or program.)
