Activity Overview / Details
To start off this project show a video from teacherdomain.org about Dr. Pryor who does Tissue Engineering. This video is done in a format that has students engaged. It is a quick start clip and allows discussion of the project with the students. Ask students how many of them know what they want to do in their life? How many know what college they want to go to? Explain to students that not knowing is fine, but they should be exploring different professions to see what they are interested in. Discuss the importance of field trips, job shadowing, internships and if those opportunities are not available, conducting research on the internet will give them information about different careers.
