The Envelope
Part of Lesson Plan: Bioethics: Genotypes and Phenotypes
Activity Overview / Details
As students enter the classroom hand them an envelope. They are not allowed to open it. Tell them you will explain what is inside it later. attached the two handouts below. Have students pick the worksheets up as they are walking in. Start by telling students that inside their envelopes is information about their DNA. How many of you would want to know the information inside that envelope? Ask students to take a few minutes and write down their thoughts.
