Part of Lesson Plan: Public Ingress and Egress

Activity Overview / Details

Students come into the classroom. Handouts will be given to them as they enter.  The Site Plan will be on the screen. The document "Internal Circulation" will show the students how circulation patterns of vehicle traffic can be arranged for public safety and the proper use of landscaping. Pictures and video of a local shopping mall's entrances and parking structures will be shown on PowerPoint.  Students will look at the patterns and begin to understand the concept of traffic and parking arrangements. This allows the students to see how professionals have handled transportation and public ingress / egress. Providing also for "Bike Racks" and convenient access to "Public Transportation" will assist in both noise and pollution reduction.
