    NOTE: In most cases, of the drawing problems provided, only  the critical dimensions have been given.  Sizes of some of the less important features of parts have been intentionally omitted, leaving the selection of these sizes to the discretion of the student.   For the purposes, features of parts which appear to be located on counter with corresponding edges may be assumed to be central.  It is important for the student to give theses dimensions which locate all the features of the part, thus eliminating any possibility of guesswork when the drawings are to be used in the shop.  Remind the students not to copy the dimensions. 

it is suggested that the students sketch out the shape AND size description prior to either board or CAD activities.  For instructor review and attached to the completed board or CAD work for assessment. 

Also the student has the opportunity to establish the tolerances in the title block. and other important components.

  NOTE to the instructor:  As you can readily observe the detailed parts to be drawn are not difficult.  The intent is to have the student complete a detailed working drawing successfully.
