Activity Overview / Details
On the board ask students to list what they believe expect going into stores. List answers on the board. Some answers they may volunteer are:
To be greeted with a friendly smile
To be treated with respect
To get help when needed
To be trusted as a person who does not steal
To be attentive
To be polite
To feel welcomed
To NOT be judged by my clothing or who I’m hanging out with
To be waited on quickly
Ask students what makes a person a good customer representative. List answers on the board. Some answers they may provide will be:
A person who gets people through a line quickly
A person who is a problem solver
A person who knows how to sell a product without being pushy
A person who is genuinely concerned about the customer
A person who is alert and pays attention to their job
A person who is happy to be there
A person who is friendly
