Biological and Physiological Needs
Part of Lesson Plan: Applying Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs to the Sales Process.
Activity Overview / Details
Students create a PowerPoint Presentation based on Maslow’s “Biological and Physiological” Needs.
Students watch the video, “Maslow Motivation Theory Biological Needs.” We discuss and students jot down using Cornell Notes. I point out that “Biological and Physiological Needs” + Products or Services + Commercial/Advertisement = Call to Action (purchase the Product or Service).
Students create a 5-slide PowerPoint Presentation to include the following:
1. Title Page
2. Explanation of Maslow’s “Biological and Physiological Needs”
3. Images of Products or Services addressing those needs.
4. Images of people who make up the Target Market
5. Images or video of commercials or advertisements aimed at the Target Market.
Students present their PowerPoint Presentations to the class.
