Fighting
fires is the primary responsibility of any fire fighter on the

work, it is necessary for them to know extinguishing agents,
their capabilities, advantages, and limitations. Without
this knowledge, a fire fighter cannot make decisions regarding
which agents to use on certain classes of fire which could lead
to further destruction or injury to the fire
fighter.
