Types of Packages
Part of Lesson Plan: Packaging & Labeling
Activity Overview / Details
The teacher needs to bring in a various types of package. Example could be: vacuum pack (chips) , flexible package (dog treats), fresh package (vegetables) , Shrink wrap (men-shirts), pump dispenser ( lotion), multipak (pencils, markers), skin package (bacon). Set up all of these on table and then ask the students the following questions:
- How does the package protect the product and consumer?
- How effective is the package at identifying and promoting the product?
- How does the package make the product easier to use?
After the discussing with the students let them know that this lesson will focus on packaging and labeling.
