The lessons in this unit will enable web page design students to apply art-design principles and theories in the construction and layout of a web page.

 Planning: such as, strategic planning; setting goals and objectives; assessing customer needs and expectations; recognizing different forms of ownership, and relating the industry to the larger economic, political and social influences.

Technical and Production Skills : such as, specific production techniques; methods of organizing production work; and methods which diversify and rotate workers’ jobs.

 

Lessons in this Unit

  • Most people only stay on a website two to three seconds if they don't find what they are looking for. Having an attractive banner reflecting the information on your page can help people stay on your site longer. Banners also contain useful information: Name of site or company, telephone numbers, addresses and other useful information for your visitors.
