The Idea Web:  

Download the Idea Web template and the Vocabulary handout and make copies for the class.  

Download the Power Point presentation and have students follow along as you walk them through this part of the lesson.

PowerPoint Discussion:

• Hand out the Idea Web and explain the parts and functions as you guide students using the Powerpoint. Make sure you look at the notes page view option in powerpoint.  
• Presenter notes are included for several slides.  
• If you open the Presenter Tools in the view options you will see the notes easily. 

Hand out the Vocabulary sheet and quickly go over some of the terms used in the powerpoint.
