Part of Lesson Plan: Making Selections with Marquee Tools

Activity Overview / Details

1. Have students open their images that they have saved for their digital composite project.
2. Find an image that has a circle, square, or rectangular shape in it.
3. Select the Rectangular or Elliptical Marquee tool and hold down the shift key if it is a perfect square or circle.
4. If you are not satisfied with your selection, click select menu and deselect.  Once you are satisfied with your selection.
5. Click copy, open your background image, and paste on new layer. 
6. Click the Edit Menu, select Transform and Scale.
7. Scale image to fit proportionate to other objects on your background.
8. Select the Move Tool on the Tools Panel and move to chosen location.
9. Name new layer.
10. Save you image with new file name.
