Activity: The whole class will be asked to write into a journal the thoughts about logic. What do they know about logic? Ask about 3 of them to share their ideas about logic .If possible, talk about how we reason with logic in our natural language.
Example:
If it rains today then I will not walk home. There are two statements here. Statement A: If it rains today. Statement B: I will not walk home. In symbolic form I will write: If A Then B. Possibilities associated with this statement are. The statement is true if it rains and I do not walk home.
Class Question:
Let the class judge the truthfulness of this statement: It does not rain and I walk home. Is this statement true. Let us list all the variations of these two statements that will make them true as a single statement. I write all the forms of this statement.
