Part of Lesson Plan: Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation, CPR
Activity Overview / Details
Teacher will demonstrate proper CPR techniques on an adult mannequin. After taking universal precautions, the teacher will lift the chin, tilt the head back , pinch the nose, and give 2 rescue breaths (1 second per breath) watching to see the chest rise. Then place two hands in the center of chest on lower half of the sternum, compressing 1 1/2 to 2 inches 30 times. This cycle (2 breaths and 30 compressions) is repeated. You should do 100 compressions per minute.
