Part of Lesson Plan: Making Sustainable Consumption Choices
Activity Overview / Details
Using the Smartboard, teacher introduces the issue of sustainable consumption by explaining the meaning and by outlining the aspects that have to be kept in mind when consumers are shopping for goods and businesses are determining what to sell:
"Sustainable consumption is about buying goods and services which will not harm the natural environment, including animals, and where the workers' conditions offer them a fair payment for their work and allow them to have a say in their and their communities well being."
Sustainable consumption is about:
1. Human Right and Social Justice
2. Environment
