While students are writing down the safety rules on the back of the handout from a power point provided, you can use this time for students to come forward and demonstrate for you and check for understanding. Have a student take the blade off, and another student may put a blade on. A student may tilt the table, while another may adjust the hold down foot. Students may also demonstrate the distance or positions of hands while cutting are down.
