Introduction
Part of Lesson Plan: Safety Power Point Lesson
Activity Overview / Details
To start the class period and to get the students interested in
using PowerPoint, I will draw a PMI chart on the board and
ask students what are the positives, minuses, and what they find
interesting about PowerPoint. (graphic organizer –
contextualization)
2. I will show the students a finished
PowerPoint presentation (not necessarily on safety) as a guideline.
(modeling)
3. I will place an overhead on the
projector or pass out a handout to show the students what should be
included in their presentations.
• Text should have the Name of your
Machine
• Description of what it is used for
and how to use it
• 5-10 important rules and procedures
to follow when using your machine
• Text should be creatively put into
your power point
• 5-7 digital photo
• At least 5 cliparts found on the
Internet
• 1 school appropriate video clip
• 1 school appropriate web site
• Enough slides to make a 5 minute
presentation
