Part of Lesson Plan: Domestic Violence 2: Penal Codes

Activity Overview / Details

 

Have the students post/tape the easel paper drawings on the wall.

Cover the titles on the easel papers leaving only the definitions showing.

The teacher will assign each definition/penal code a number (ex:  1, 2, 3, 4, and 5)

The students will demonstrate their awareness of the definitions by showing how many fingers that corresponds to the correct answer.

The teacher will read the title and ask the students which definition goes with that title.  Example:  Label corporal injury #4 - Teacher: "Corporal Injury"  Students : will show 4 fingers in the air.  This will give the teacher an immediate idea of their understanding of this lesson.
