Part of Lesson Plan: Heart attack
Activity Overview / Details
For the lecture part of the subject the teacher will use a Power Point presentation. During the presentation the teacher can stop the presentation to explain the main points of the presentation, to demonstrate, or use models to visualize the heart attack.
After the presentation the students will receive a copy of the Power Point presentation and other hand - outs (diagram of the heart, EKG sample, and a diagram with the electrical property of the heart). The students will review the main parts of the heart and circulatory system. They will also receive an EKG sample and identify the normal sinus rhythm and abnormal rhythms such as tachycardia (fast heart beat) and bradycardia (slow heart beat). The students will also identify the electrical conduction system of the heart.
