After the values clarifications are tabulated from the activity the day before (continuums) - write the top characteristics into the powerpoint on the last page.

Announce to students that they have just created their own work habits grade!

Assignment:  Work with a partner to create a 8x14 (legal size) poster of each of the work habits that will be expected in class. The best examples will hang in the classroom all year as visual reminders to students.

Directions: Work with your 8x14 sheet of paper so that it is "portrait".  Draw a line two inches from the top of the paper. In that space, use a large font and label the character trait which you ahe been assigned.  Use bold letters so that it can be read from across the room.  On the bottom of the paper, draw another line 2" from the bottom. In that space, write one or two sentences which describes that character trait.  In the large space left in the middle, draw a cartoon or picture of that character trait. (see examples)

I then place all of these on one poster and hang in the room for the rest of the year.
