Activity Overview / Details
Use the Discovery Education Puzzlemaker website to create a puzzle using the vocabulary terms.
http://www.discoveryeducation.com/free-puzzlemaker
On this site, you can create crossword puzzles, word search, hidden messages, mazes and lots more. I use this site to create custom puzzles to use during my lessons. I use the vocabulary terms for the lesson, but also include a few things like review of computer safety, lab rules, school trivia, of fun things from the class. Create your own puzzle and personalize it for your students.
The puzzle activity can be used in class, or as homework. I often have start it during class, but those who don't finish take it home for homework. It can also be used as a bell activity for the next days class.
