Activity Overview / Details
The instructor should lay out the rope from a bitter end over a distance of several feet. At that point the instructor should put a loop in the rope and another couple of feet, then a bight, then an elbow, and finally a round turn.
Students are directed to use a plain piece of paper, draw the rope lay out and label the different components.
