Part of Lesson Plan: Business Management - Writing a Basic Business Plan Executive Summary
Activity Overview / Details
Day 2 – Students sit in collaborative groups and silently read each member’s rough draft. Editors should make comments and editing marks on the draft. Summary should be reviewed for spelling, grammar, punctuation, and whether the outline questions were answered and rubric followed.
Teacher should:
- Ask for volunteers to read aloud his/her executive summary rough draft
- Verbally refer to the outline and/or rubric as suggested improvement area or as confirmation of following guidelines for exemplary summary
Students should:
· Assess their own activity performance
· Identify gaps by asking for clarification of peer-group reading
· Review information to increase performance on independent practice
