• Under the Influence of a Hallucinogen - Hooks / Set

  Instructor will show a video clip on someone who is under the influence of the Hallucinogen "Ecstasy."  Instructor will then guide the class in a discussion on what they observed from the Subject's behavior/appearance such as griding of the teeth (bruxism), excessive sweating, dilated pupils, irrational behavior and/or paranoia, restlessness, etc.)

• Appearence of Hallucinogen Drugs - Lecture

  Instructor will present a power point presentation which will show how the different Hallucinogens appear and how they are packaged such as:

  LSD- which can appear in liquid or powder form and packaged in wrappers/cellophane (called microdots).  Also, LSD can appear in perforated blotter paper, sugar cubes or food coloring.   

  Peyote- the active ingredient in Peyote is "Mescaline." Payote is a spineless cactus which grow buttons that can be eaten Also they can be grounded in a into a brown granular substance and can be inserted into gelatin capsules or the powder can be boiled and mixed with tea and ingested orally.

  Note * North American Indians in Oregon have been lawfully ingesting Peyote for their ritual services.  

  Psilocybin Mushrooms appear in dried mushroom caps or stems and can be eaten.  Mushrooms are packaged in clear plastic bags. 

  Ecstasy (MDMA) is synthetically manufactured into a white crystalized powder or tablet form, and color of the pills will very and display a stamp of a cartoon character or a popular logo (i. e. Nike).

  Note * Ecstasy is manufactured in Belguim and the Netherlands at a cost of 3 cents a pill and smuggled into the United Sates and sold on the streets at a cost of $20.00 to $30.00 per pill. Ecstasy is comprised of Mesculine and Amphetamines and sometimes referred as "psychedelic amphetamines."

  The number one way ALL Hallucinogens are ingested is orally but drugs such as LSD can be injected into the body, and Peyote is sometimes smoked.
