Part of Lesson Plan: 5 Eras of LE: 1. Early History
Activity Overview / Details
The students have read and answered their assigned questions and they have drawn their icons.
Each group will now come to the front of the class, one at a time, and teach the other students about their assigned section of early history. (Allow about 5 minutes per group.)
Each group should have a spokesperson that will "teach" on their section or answer the questions so that the rest of the class can fill in the appropriate information.
Another spokesperson for the group will discuss and describe their icon and how it pertains to their reading. The group should be holding their picture up so all students can view it.
When the group is done speaking, have the students tape their icons on a designated part of the wall or the whiteboard.
NOTE: (I use the student icons as a memory association for the next lesson. When the students come in to class the following day, the students have to take out a piece of paper while the teacher takes roll and the students have to identify the pictures by title of the stage the picture represents.)
