Part of Lesson Plan: Basics of Camera Movement and Perspective

Activity Overview / Details

Using a digital video camera,  and a student volunteer, the teacher films an example of all three camera perspectives.  The class then views the footage on the large projector screen.  Students are asked to identify each perspective by name as it appears in the video sequence.

If you can't connect the video camera to the projector screen, then play the student video titled, "Point of view shot assignment" to show how easily the three perspectives can go together to tell a story or show an event.
