Theory of Ohm's Law

Part of Lesson Plan: **Ohm's Law (updated) By Richie Rizzonelli

Activity Overview / Details

Students will come into class. I will have a "Danger 100,000 Ohm's" sign on the overhead. We will have a class discussion on what is not right about this statement. This discussion will lead into the (3) elements of electricity: Volts, Amps & Resistance. I will inform the students of the following information:

Be aware if it said 100,000 volts, that would kill you. If it said 100.000 amps, that would kill you, too; but 100,000 ohms will not hurt you because it is a measurement of resistance and not of power.
