CTE Online '12-'13 Model Curriculum Institutes
CTE '12-'13 Model Curr. Institutes
We have received an amazing response to our call for teachers to participate in this year's CTE Online Institutes focusing on Media Design and Engineering Design. Thank you!
At this point, we are no longer accepting applications.
If you were selected, you will be contacted by MaryRose Lovgren, Brian Ausland, or Mike Morris accepting you to this year's Institute.
If we do not contact you to attend this year's Institute, please know that we had an overwhelming response to the Institute this year, and many factors come into play when selecting participants. The biggest factor is that we only have twenty teachers that can be selected to write lessons for each of the two pathways. We will keep a waiting list, however, for spots that may open up.
This year's writers will be convening to develop out project plans related to more comprehensive student project that could take 1 - 4 weeks of classroom time. In years past, we focused more on individual lesson plans, but will now define a broader curriculum product that moves students towards some type of demonstration of competence with a larger chunk of skills and the related instruction. While the curricular focus has changed a bit, the adherence to engaging, standards-based, exciting activities and learning experiences will remain intact.
