Lesson 3 is hands on practice of grafting in the classroom. Prior to this lesson students have learned about the importance of grafting and seen in video, ppt, and/or demo the different grafts.
Lesson 4 is the practical application of grafting. Students will demonstrate knowledge.
A Project-Based-Learning (PBL) lesson set for floral design. A set of flowers will be re-made into 4 separate designs. - The fourth lesson in this project is review floral wholesale costs and mark up the cost to a retail price. Students will see the similar costs associated and compared between the 4 designs that they made in the previous lessons.
Students will learn 3 different grafts and be able to draw, label and use vocabulary correctly. Students will also learn about chip grafting and air layering.
This lesson will be a short history of the apple cultivation. The sweetness of the apple encouraged early people to cultivate for these varieties in particular.

A set of flowers will be re-made into 4 separate designs. - This first lesson will focus on art elements and principles used in four designs. Designs included: vertical bud vase, vertical line design, a round centerpiece, and a boutonniere /corsage set.
Lesson 3 of 4: This lesson is intended for students to take one step farther in the process of becoming artists. After contemplating the meaning of art and being asked to create an arrangement, students will be developing their own Artist Statement to describe their artwork and vision to the viewers.
Lesson 4 of 4: This is the final step in the Floral Design Interpretation Project. In this lesson, students will be given the materials to physically construct their designs.
Lesson 1 of 4: This lesson is intended to introduce students to their project of interpreting a famous work of art through a floral arrangement. Using their prior knowledge of the principles and elements of design, they will begin the process of identifying what the project will be like as well as identifying what is considered a piece of art.
In the second part of the Holiday Project students will complete their online research to complete their report. Students will also need to complete their design plan for the centerpiece portion of their project.
In the final lesson of this project, students will construct the centerpiece design for their Holiday Party vignette. Students have prepared all other portions of the project, and this final design will complete the overall display.
