For beginnng welding students it gets boring just practicing
welds. This project lets them build something that they will have a
lot of fun with, will teach them layout and fabrication skills, and
practice their welding.
Interpret scaled welding prints; gather design and materials information; perform calculations; and use the detail to plan, lay out, and produce parts or finished products.
Use welding tools and equipment, such as MIG, TIG, arc, forge and furnace, to combine or join manufactured parts and products, resulting in a finished product that meets the standards of the American Welding Society or a similar industry.
Use and maintain tools, equipment, systems, and products common to the school manufacturing facility.
