Capstone Lesson - I am a Social Media Content Creator

by

What does it take to be a professional Social Media Content Creator? A portfolio of sample projects and a solid social media profile is just the beginning. Experience with Adobe Photoshop and Premiere Pro is recommended. This project will jump-start a Social Media Content Creator's portfolio. Students will start their Instagram story here. Students need to bring their 'A' game!

Introduction

In this fourth and final culminating lesson, students take on the role of Social Media Content Creators and produce a series for portfolio materials. This is a Capstone Project and will provide student with guidance toward developing a Social Media Content Creator portfolio.

Social Media Content production creates new opportunities for graphic artists, designers and photographers. A portfolio is the calling card. This lesson will explore developing an Instagram campaign package for the portfolio, as well as working on a professional Instagram identity.

Using industry standard tools in the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop and Illustrator), students produce a social media content package for a client's Instagram. Students will use original photographs, graphic illustrations or cite curated graphic materials in their productions. Did you know you could upload your portfolio from your computer to Instagram? No cell phone, no problem.

The culminating activity in this lesson is a Shark Tank like presentation.
